Fitting Tracy

So I had fitted Tracy's dress today. It was a success. YAY! It was WAY too long to begin with which didn't make any sense to me because I used her waist to knee measurements but I got it sorted.  The cut of the dress was all good too. I needed to make the armholes bigger and adjust some
seams but nice simple alterations, one happy costume maker. And Steph seamed happy with it all too. Time to cut it out in real fabric....

I did a lot of work on Edna's dress today too. After getting all the way to Uni, after having loading Rhiannon's car with three bags and a mannequin just for me, I realised that I had left another bag at home...and it was my padded bra and basic block for Edna. You have no idea how annoyed I was with myself, especially as that was what I was going to work on during the day. In the end, Calli took me home to pick it up so the day wasn't wasted. I made the alterations needed to the bodice and cut out a fitted basic skirt block. This basic block was meant to help me work out where my seams were going and how it was going to look. However, my mind was blank. I just couldn't work it out. It wasn't until I got home that I worked out what I could do. Sod's Law I guess. I guess that's a job for tomorrow as well as hopefully getting it fitted....
